Thanks for all keeping the secret. Gram was totally surprised when she walked in the decorated room at Marie Callendar's with Laurie and Dave. John and Hyrum raised a sheet full of balloons over her head and let them fall as the Decker children yelled, "Surprise". then John, Susan, Peter and I came out of our hiding places and she couldn't believe it. Of course, Grandpa was shocked too. Gram shed a tear or two and we all felt so warm and happy. Peter showed Sarah and Ammon's slide show while we waited for our breakfast and afterwards we all told memories of Gram. I was enjoying it all. John had the presence of mind to take some pictures.
In the afternoon they took Gram to Hale Theater for a play, had birthday cake and watched the webcam greetings online. That night Gram said she could hardly sleep after all the excitement and shock of the day!
